He was 6ft 3in, quite unusual in those days

If anyone knows my Grandad can they tell him we are still waiting for the loaf of bread he went out for in 1926.

Ain't life unfair. Oates nips out of Scott's tent saying "I am just going outside and may be some time." and his line is immortalised, your Grandad goes out and no one's heard of him.
