With all the upset to the release schedule caused by the actors guild strike we've had to start showing older films to pad out the releases had have had. Just seen the list of what's showing over the next few weeks:

Gladiator 
Airplane 
Titanic
Gone With the Wind
Braveheart
Jaws 
The Godfather 
Lawrence of Arabia 
Blazing Saddles 

Something tells me I'm going to be booking a few nights off work

So far the turnout for these films hasn't been too bad. Blazing Saddles and Airplane will be interesting though as I'm sure there are going to be people who think they have 'problematic' content

It's likely a film most of us would detest but the wider cinema audiences loved it so this snub to Barbie by the Oscars shows again how they are marginalising the whole thing.

Well the Guy Richie adaptation of Operation Postmaster looks interesting. Cavil seems to work as Gus March-Phillips and whoever was cast as Anders Lassen looks like he's done a decent job of portraying him. Think I'll give this a look.
