I imagine you boys know all about this site?

http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/home/index.htm

Yep ~ I go there less frequently than I go to the dentist and with about as much pleasure.

Why? confused:
I think he's great.

To be honest it's because I am not interested in cars other than as a convenient means of getting me from where I am to where I want to be.
Like most people who have been to school I understand the basics of the internal combustion engine but frankly it does nothing for me.
As a kid I learned that there are certain things that "Chaps" talk about. Cars, Horse Racing, Football, are all examples of things that do not interest me personally but I maintain a watching brief over so that I can converse with those who wish to talk about them.
Having played Rugby & Cricket at school and in my RAF days Boxed and learned to Fence (sword not garden) I have more interest in those but am happy enough to chat about anything whilst in the Pub or Barber's Chair. Most people are not really interested in my personal hobbies so I tend to keep those to myself.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Not fussed on the nags either tbh. Got a 2 legged one here,, and she's a pain in the arse. ::)
Cricket, but only if it's an international game.
Footie, yes.
Boxing. NO.
Rugby. Not a big fan, but enjoy the punch ups. lol:
Fencing? Sounds different. Ever killed anyone? eeek:

I'll always listen to others interests. Always willing to learn. ;)

No ~ never killed anyone whilst fencing ~ not the done thing really ~ did break my blade on a naval chap once in an inter-service comp.  I carried on and drew blood but only because I didn't realise that I had broken it. Got disqualified anyway. evil:
Boxing came about because the Fencing and Boxing teams used to train together a lot of the time as much of the training is the same when you think about it. Anyway I was tall and light (in those days) so got talked into trying a bit of boxing. Did OK until I got involved in an inter-services evening with the Army. Little Scottish corporal beat the shite out of me so bad they stopped the fight halfway through the second round ~ unheard of in Inter-service matches as blood is what they come for.
I retired from boxing two days later when I "came round" in Sick Quarters and realised that I couldn't remember anything after the bell for the start of the first round..
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Yea....... rubschin:.....right. whistle:

Back on topic. I'm feeling shite now.
Back in 1977 I had a mk 2 Essy with the registration number JEM100P

I just did a search to see if it was available, as it's still showing as being a registered car, albeit untaxed.
It wasn't available through the company I checked with.
However................JEM 550N...?8995!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sad32:

Christ on a bloody bike, I wish I'd kept that car now....with THAT original reg.
It'd done for my retirement...almost.

Not THE Umberto Eco, the  medievalist, semiotician, philosopher and novelist, best known for his novel The Name of the Rose by any chance? eeek:
