ANY of you miserable piss taking shower ever been in a modern Skoda?

EY?

Problee no. ::)

Well I HAVE. Had two so far, and have a Fabia Vrs in the fleet at the moment. By far the best car I've ever had. Totally brilliant in virtually every dept. happy088
Ask Degsy...problee when he gets back of his jollies...he's got one too...and luvs it! cloud9:

Yes, I test drove a Fabia and Octavia about five years ago, and there was nothing to choose between them and more expensive marques. Our Felicia was "nearly there" but still a bit agricultural, like a cheap Seat or an older VW.

Been out 'lookin' yet Wenchy?

Progress and 'short list' reports required please. I'm interested in the outcome of this. rubschin:

Get any old  pre 2000 diesel, and run it on up to 70% veggy oil in the summer, and 40% in the winter...as discussed elsewhere.

Apparently....you Citroen owners...ALL of the current range of Citroen diesels will run on a mix of up to 30 % bio diesel. This is always assuming it's available locally to you
I'll see if I can find the link about this.

Gorrit:

 http://www.worldcarfans.com/news.cfm/newsi...s-on-bio-diesel

Get. It doesn't werk. evil:

Try this: happy088

http://www.worldcarfans.com/2060807.003/Citroen

So after reading that, I assume you can put approx 4 gallons of bio in to a tankful of our gordons genuine rip off stuff?
80p a liter 1/2 a mile from here, and it's already got 50% ordinary diesel in it, so the equation in fact goes up to.....8 gallons thus saving you about 8 quid on a tankfull on the basis that you can buy it for 80p p.l.? rubschin:

Hmmmmmm..... Had a diesel last time (Vauxhall Zafira) but this time went for petrol. The additional cost of buying a diesel did not seem to be VFM when I did the sums on mileage gained versus additional cost of vehicle and additional cost of diesel as opposed to unleaded at the end of three years. Since getting the Citroen I haven't been far so any saving on mileage would not offset the additional costs with this vehicle either. I have had it 16 months and only done 2,700 miles. ~ That's agoraphobia for you. ::)
When I think I used to average 50K miles pa as a rep!

Diesel is still significantly cheaper than petrol in Cyprus – presumable reflecting the real value of the two. Both our cars are therefore oil burners...

Still, cooking oil is cheaper still…   rubschin:

You will have noticed that diesel is now dearer in the UK than petrol.

Indeed... I think the excuse was 'particulates' wasn't it? Obviously not serious enough a problem to ban the stuff but just dangerous enough to raise a few billions in revenue...  noooo:
