So here is the text of my advert (with pictures, obvs.)...
Asus VivoBook S5 - Spares or Repair Only!
Here is an almost new Asus VivoBook S Model S510U.
Unfortunately I spilt wine into the keyboard, the display went blank and it stopped working. I removed the covers to dry any wine but the device still doesn't work.
I have no idea how much damage has occurred, the battery seems fine, there is no obvious damage inside (see pictures) from burning or overheating and no smoke emerged when I had the accident. Unfortunately, I was in the middle of a project when it happened so I needed to replace the unit and have not taken it to a professional to be appraised.
I have removed a data SSD which worked fine so perhaps the damage isn't too severe. I have removed the M.2 SSD that contained the operating system as it may still hold my personal data.
So the device is sold as seen with 16Gbytes DDR4 memory, but no operating system or internal storage. It comes in the original box as shown with power supply and mains lead.
Full Specification.
Asus VivoBook S Model S510UA-BQ202T
Intel i7 CPU
16Gbytes DDR4 Memory
15.6" FHD Display
UK Keyboard
Please note that I have no idea how severely damaged it might be so it is sold as seen with no guarantee and no returns.
So the guy drives all the way here, looks at it and says, "It has an SSD in it does it?". I say, "No, I have removed it and any personal data that might have remained on it".
And then he storms off shouting that he has wasted his journey!
