Utility Companies
« on: April 15, 2019, 12:33:22 PM »
cussing: censored: cussing: Explode:

I am ready to go on a rioting rampage of proper mass destruction and annihilation with anyone associated with EDF.

Having been trying to get an old Economy 7 meter changed to a single meter for many months ( won't go into that saga or several official complaints)  this was finally changed in February.

However now they have asked for updated readings and of course there is an issue. The are assuming that when the new meter was installed it had a factory setting of 000000. It didn't  ::) So when I entered our readings the bill for our electricity alone was working out at over £1500  eeek:

Luckily not trusting any one of those scummy incompetent bastards I took a photo of the new meter on the date of installation with the readings nice and clear.  I have now been in on online chat with Gupta for well over 50 minutes. Quite simple request  really - configure the account with the correct reading from the date of installation . I can provide photo with a screenshot of the picture details showing the time and date picture was taken with the serial number of the meter clear for all to see.

I must have been asked about 10 times during our 'conversation'  about the configuration of a Smart meter - which we dont have. "Oh - as a valued customer you are entitled to one of these free of charge "

Then Gupta went off had a coffee pretended to be checking something and came back to me

" I see that it needs configuration to be done as I can not have access to the Smart meter, may I request you to contact them directly and the networks needs to be aligned"

My reply

"We have already established several times I don't have a Smart meter , nor do I want one , so I understand why you would be having trouble trying to access it . Who on earth do you want me to contact and what networks are you on about ? This is about updating your systems not reprogramming your computer  - have you got the right headset on"?

You may be able to tell I was getting pissed off and also I've kept a copy of the chat as I know I will be repeating this all to someone new and fresh out of the box very, very soon.

So eventually Gupta asks me to upload the picture . "errr how I enquire as this is an online chat with text only capability "

" You can email it to me " he says

"that's great " I reply  " do I have to guess the email address " ??

and this went on for another 20 minutes

Absolute incompetent shower of shister knobheads and knobhesses  Banghead

I needed to get the meter changed so we can switch energy companies soon. Getting a new supplier to do this would have cost over a hundred quid  noooo:

I have heard good things about Octopus Energy or Bulb

To be honest they are all probably comparable now  in terms of pricing it's about the customer support and experience

They need culling to improve the gene pool.  Luckily you have a axe handy

We found EDF OK apart from their rubbish meter reading App but dumped them for British Gas and a dreaded less dim meter.  Probably not the cheapest supplier but so far they seem to work OK
Well, whatever, nevermind

I switched leccy and gas supplier in Feb and cancelled my direct debit. The old supplier sent me a bill  for £8.62 which I paid and that was the last I heard of them.

I have just had a call from a debt collection agency saying that I owe the old supplier £466 !  eeek:

I am about to call the old supplier but am waiting for my bladder temperature  to drop before doing so  evil:

Let them 'harass' you some more then complain to the Ombudsman.
I did that with the waterboard and 'Harassing a pensioner' got them to pay a £250 apology.
Enough for a half decent bottle of single malt.
