God, these people wind me up every time, and it's just because of one simple sentence.

They deliver bank cards and the like and each time it starts with a letter saying:

"We have recently been unable to complete this delivery"

Oh no you haven't  evil:. We've done this before, argued it out before and last time you conceded it might be because the local depot didn't want to do wasted journeys.  ::)

Why don't they just cut out the offending sentence and say... "We'd like to deliver something securely to you".  Banghead Banghead
Like the Buddhist said to the hot dog vendor...
"Make me one with everything"

Ahh this would be the same bunch of people I had my passport fiasco with. Couldn't deliver it because of course no one was home to sign for it. And never would be on the days/times they could offer. They could however, deliver to an alternate address if I could prove who I was with a photo id. My only photo id is my passport which of course they were delivering and wouldn't allow me to open without proof of who I was. So, eventually I made them swear to a day and I took the day off. Got up on the morning in question, opened post, sodding thing had just been chucked through the letter box. Secure my arse!  cussing: Banghead cussing:

It's gone 2pm and still no delivery...  ::)

I thought to do a track / trace thingy and after numerous re-directions courtesy of their call management system I get to the final message...

For security reasons, our drivers change their route frequently during the day. We have no way of knowing where they are but your delivery will take place between 9am and 5pm. Thank you.

Not quite the same thing, but just got an email from Amazon, informing me that my books were on their way. Brilliant as the will be delivered to my office and I shall not be there tomorrow.
Bugger!

Unlikely that the Royal Mail will deliver anything to a business address on a Saturday unless they know someone will be there to receive it

Want to bet? Our office always gets it delivered on a Saturday as it isn't the normal guy that does it. I had a load of material sitting out in the rain for a weekend last year.  censored:

You can't legislate for idiots ~ thus speaks one who spent 6 years working for the Royal Mail.
