But why were the Met leading this operation in Hampshire? They were acting on "information" it is said. Clearly the Met, as usual, were keeping things tight to their chest and acting in a high handed manner, rather than give the info to the locals and leave them to it. Also if they knew about it (Armed officers of the Met do not just happen to be in Chandlers Ford) why did they let it go so far before taking action. They could have rounded up the criminals and charged them with conspiracy.
It all just shows, once again, why our police are not fit to be armed.
