So this Quarantine malarkey.  We're supposed to be on holiday in December returning Dec 21st so if we had to quarantine for 2 weeks we'd have to avoid everyone for Christmas AND New Year

See it's not necessarily always a bad thing
Well, whatever, nevermind

Meister I'm not defending Cuomo but as a point of fact the federal direction came from the CMS not CDC

https://www.cms.gov/files/document/3-13-2020-nursing-home-guidance-covid-19.pdf

And if you condemn him then surely you have to condemn Boris for the equivalent stupid directive here.

If Boris was stupid enough to order the same thing then I'll condemn him as well although my condemnation of Cuomo is as much his mealy mouthed attempt to politicise his bad choice by saying it was Trump's CDC and CMS as both agencies exist and have done so for years regardless of who is in office. Plus as is clear in the title of the document the directive itself is guidance only, it didn't put a gun to Cuomo's head and force him to make the nursing homes to take Covid infected patients. In fact it clearly states that if a nursing home isn't capable of following CDC infection control instructions they must not accept any patients with Covid, something that the state decree ignored.

Ouch, how long it is till the next French election? Between this and the protests I don't think Macron is buggered, especially as provided that the seal and elastic is checked first even expired masks can provide significantly more protection than a surgical mask (surgical masks provide arouns 80% protection FFFP masks provide 94% and N95 's 95% pre expiry).  noooo:

It occurred to me today that this C19 takes all the fun out of life-threatening viruses.
At least with HIV you had to have sex to get it. With this one you only have to go to the Post Office  noooo:
