America is screwed on Corona now because while the state authorities were perfectly happy to crackdown on any other perceived infraction of the lockdown nobody had the balls to stop the BLM riots which have been a perfect breeding ground for the virus causing the current spike in infections. After all, if you couldn't open a business, go to church or protest about the lockdown then how could thousands of idiots in close proximity looting, burning and vandalising statues be immune.

Not too many BLM riots in the big problem states of Florida and Texas were there?  The US just followed the Bolsonaro model of denial at the top undermining state led lockdown action
Well, whatever, nevermind

You are right BLM didn't manage too much in Florida, just 14 days of protests in Miami-Dade, 7 Days of protests at Fort Myers, between 200 and 700 protesters in Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Daytona Beach, Fort Walton, Navarre, Orlando, Palm Coast, Pensacola, Port Orange, Port St Lucie, Sarasota, St Petersberg, Tallahassee, Tampa, Temple Terrace, Windermere, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Lake Worth Beach, West Palm Beach, Collier County, Cape Coral. Not to mention over 1000 people protesting at Gainsville and over 1200 people protesting at Jacksonville all of whom would have been in close proximity to one another making it an almost perfect breeding ground for the virus.

And Texas certainly didn't have hundreds of protesters in Abilene, Alpine, Amarillo, Arlington, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Edinburg, El Paso, Frisco, Galveston, Laredo, Lewisville, Lubbock, Lufkin, Mansfield, McKinney, New Braunfels, Odessa, San Angelo, Southlake, Texarkana, University Park, Vidor, Waco, Wichita Falls. Neither did they have over 1000 protesters in Dallas, over 3000 protesters in Denton, over 2000 protesters in Houston plus an additional 5000 to 10000 people in Houston for the viewing of George Floyd's body or the several thousand protesters in San Antonio. I'm sure that the covid spikes in both states are just pure coincidence and nothing to do with large bodies of people in close proximity.

My pub doesn't open til next Thursday and even then I'm not rushing to go there.  Not so much the risk but I don't think it'll be the same at all

Have booked a table for 2 at a restaurant for next Friday though
