Demolish a chimney, build a new one and install a gas fire in two weeks . .

Bricked-up fireplaces are second only to new patios in the Miss Marple manual.

Everything OK with Barlady. . . . ?

I could show her around Libertys eyes:

Oct 17th only though whistle:

Ohhhhh Libertys. I'm not allowed in there for quite some time. Mr Wench got rather cross the last time I went there.   redface:

How did Mrs Nick take the loss of her shoe boxes?

She is probably now occupying them all and neatly stacked in the bricked up fireplace.

Why?

I've never been able to get a sensible answer out of him. He just retaliates by pointing at tat mountain and I shut up.  redface:

Wherever we go Mrs Nick buys up local newspapers in English, French and Spanish. She then keeps them for years. SHe uncovered her Montreal collection yesterday. She has not and will never read them. scared2:

Oh yes, she asked last night ( I was multi-tasking at the time) whether we ought to move there, given her meeting at the University in the third week of October. We are flying to Malaga and doing Murcia, Granda, Seville and the Malaga again.

Pity in a way I fancied the Salamanca/Santiago circuit this time.
