HTF does this still happen?
Exactly the words I used when I saw it on the Tele News
It won't stop til they start banging up a few bus operator bosses Then they'll start putting sat nag based warnings and 'impact likely' warning sensors on their buses and properly training their staff. FFS my car shouts at me if it thinks I'm going to hit something so the technology is already available
I bet we find this was new recruit/new run that had no proper route training
Zackly!
Kia-Ora stops if somebody jumps out in front of her or I try to drive into another car... The same system is fitted to millions of vehicles, it must cost pennies now.
Why don't all high vehicles have radar on the roof and a similar system...?
But yes, why do drivers have to remember routes? They should be controlled by SatNag and never make a mistake. Bus company must be able to collect sufficient data to create a custom system that copes with closed roads, accidents etc.
