PC Poofs etc ..
« on: November 21, 2020, 08:24:39 PM »
So .......on the Bride FB sites ....a Russian female violinist is being "verbally" attacked...

Her crime ......She replied to a couple (same sex ) ..that she felt she wouldn't feel comfortable doing their wedding due to her own strong religious beliefs....

WOW..the couple has posted her reply online (which is very polite non-offensive ) and in my opinion very professional considering the subject ...

People are asking other couples to cancel her ..contact hotels to get her banned etc ..

Now isn't this internet bullying .. rubschin:  are you not allowed your own beliefs ??? (I am not a religion fan but ..)...

But by being open ..she is now worse than Fred West ... noooo:

Now I think she was being honest ..it would have been better to say "sorry I am booked that date " ..but she was honest .. noooo:

The world has gone Mad ... noooo: noooo: noooo:    because basically her beliefs aren't PC ..... noooo:

She should have said nothing

That isn't really a solution is it...?

These on-line fanatics can take offence at everything... If we give in and try not to offend them, not even admitting to strongly held religious beliefs then eventually we won't be allowed to say anything...?

We've tried the 'say nothing' approach and we've reached the point where you can't say that a hairy arsed bloke with meat and two veg isn't a woman because he identifies as one...  noooo:

OK you want it explained.  The law here and I guess in Smugland says 'they shall not discriminate against  . . .' and then lists characteristics that are protected unless there is 'reasonable excuse'

Colour, disability, gender, sexuality etc etc are listed characteristics.

What you do in your home largely gets covered by reasonable excuse, a Christian does not have to invite Muslims, gay couples etc round for tea but what you advertise in public very much is not.  And that's what this musician was doing.  If you really do have strong religious reasons for not delivering services to gay couples don't set up in public business and certainly don't make such public comments.

If she'd said 'I don't perform at weddings for Turks' would it be OK?  Really?  No so 'I don't perform for gays' isn't either.

Or as I said, she should have said nothing, it just aggravated the offence.

I didn't need it explaining thanks... ::)

As I said, saying nothing is not the solution...

It used to be 'Blacks Dogs and Irish' but we now have an ever widening scope of 'protected characteristics'...  As I said, you get into trouble now for saying that a bloke dressed up as a woman isn't really a woman and shouldn't be allowed to use the female bog...

They want to extend it to your own home now so your kids could land you in trouble for something you shouted at the tellybox...

Where does this madness end?

You should be able to choose not to marry a gay couple (or Turks for that matter)...
