Wrong thread, I know, but the snow is really chucking it down now, so I decided to walk the 400 yards or so to get "supplies" before the pavements were too deep in it.

In those 800 yards, I heard something I haven't heard for months. Laughter. Children laughing as they threw snow balls at each other and started building snow men. Or snow persons for the easily offended. Families laughing together as they slipped and slid along the roads. Everyone absolutely loving it and seeing that there is a real world out there and it can be beautiful. Not scared by the incessant fear and warnings and misery peddled by the MSM. Proper smiles, not the nervous half-smiles of the scared for very little reason into somehow thinking being outside was as dangerous as stickig a fork into a wall socket.

Quality of life - being enjoyed in the here and now and not tainted by the bogeyman and his relentless drive for further restrictions, further gloom, further despair.

I think for a lot of people, quality of life counts for more than longevity.
