What do we think?  Telling the truth, or as I suspect, 'Hell has no fury like an analyst scorned'

I reckon some truth in it... About the influence of Princess Nut Nut for instance...

But he comes across as a Lockdown fanatic and as you say, upset at not getting his own way.

He's a very clever liar and clever liars do two things:  they tell very few and tell the lies a large number of people are predisposed to believe.

Most of what he said yesterday will be true but it won't all be true.  This government is going to do all it can to avoid and delay an inquiry so we really find out.

All those that defended Cummings over his trips up North last year must be feeling really stupid though as he finally admitted it was both wrong and undermined the lockdown

Well, whatever, nevermind

I wander if he would be saying any of this  if he hadn't lost his job  noooo:

He was happy to be part of it - to 'try and influence from within' until then  noooo: What an arrogant prick  evil:

I think everyone can agree there have been massive fuck ups  and an apparent lack of preparedness for any such event  noooo:  I'm not sure any other party would have fared much better though  noooo:  The reality is there is currently not that much choice in British politics  noooo:

Integrity and accountability from those in power, or seeking power, seems like some kind of false hope nowadays   noooo:

No one could have really prepared for "this" .....plus trying to control the great unwashed is alot harder these days ...with all civil liberties etc ..

As for him and his family being threatened which is the 'real' reason he ran home to his parents  in Durham oh purleeeeaseeeee  noooo:

If Mrs Dominic Cummings had indeed reported a threat from a 'group' of people outside her house ( presumably not just the normal media pack) then I' m sure this would have been reported to the police and they could then corroborate this  It must have been scary for her to decide to  pack their packs and leave immediately.  What with no police protection  for a top govt aide in a potentially life threatening situation  rubschin:

The coincidence of her being tested  as positive for Covid at this exact same time must have been so unfortunate.  noooo:

And of course how interesting that it was his wife's birthday when he decided scenic Barnard Castle was the ideal way to test his eyes.

But as Ashworth challenged earlier:

"These allegations from Cummings are either true, and, if so, the secretary of state potentially stands in breach of the ministerial code and the Nolan principles [on behaviour in public life], or they are false and the prime minister brought a fantasist and a liar into the heart of Downing Street?

"Which is it?"
Well, whatever, nevermind

I do love the way that everyone who previously said he was an outright liar is now championing him as a paragon of honesty  noooo:

Personally I think he is a sociopath who knows where enough bodies are hidden to be able to throw in a load of lies as well and still be taken for granted by the left.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.

Don't think he has one. Just a case of revenge for being sidelined.

However well or badly any government handled the pandemic, it was a poisoned chalice and an opportunity for their opponents and any other chancer to score big points.
Cummings is a self-publicist who needs to be in the spotlight and will also have seen a great commercial opportunity for book/tabloid/film/speaking revenue.
Anyway, his eyes are too far down his face to be trustworthy.
I mostly despair
