What is wrong with people !!!!

Part of what we deal with are complaints about noise and enforcement when it is a statutory nuisance.

So this week some absolute utter , utter , twonk as gone to the Chief Exec directly ( they appear to be mates of course) and complained about a neighbouring property.

What have they been doing to cause this level of offence???

Apparently he lives a few doors away from a private care home. Outrageously as the weather has been good this week the residents have been out in the garden and they organised a little sing song with them all. No amplified music - just the vocal chords being exercised . Oh and they are laughing as well !!!

2pm in the afternoon but this 'gentleman' is trying to work from home and would like to ensure that any such activities are only undertaken inside the property and with the windows closed.

Either he knew a private care home was there when he moved there or he had the chance to oppose planning permission for one.  And apparently he can save all that money not travelling to work yet not buy a decent set of noise cancelling headphones

God knows what that Twonk would do if people with kids moved in to his road.

People have become incredibly self focussed and selfish over the years... Perhaps it is because they know that this kind of action actually works...?

I'm sure if we'd just told these people to fuck off  years ago we wouldn't be in this position now because they'd know that complaining about hurty feels or a couple of oldies enjoying themselves would just bring embarrassment onto themselves.

Sadly that didn't happen... 

When I was learning to fly, somebody moved into a house on the airfield perimeter called 'Touchdown' and immediately started a campaign against aircraft noise which was eventually successful and caused the flying club to restrict/alter their operations...

...the airfield had been there since WW2! 

They should have just thought themselves lucky that it was a few light aircraft overhead and these things didn't regularly fly in and out...

I live right next door to a kindergarten/day nursery. First summer after I moved in the owner (nice guy) APOLOGISED to me for the noise at playtime.

I said I rather liked the sound of singing and children laughing.  He seemed relieved.

I hope the Chief Exec told the twonk to fuck off
