Nod seems remarkably relaxed about the whole shit bag thingy. I didn't realise they use skin grafts to seal up your arsehole  rubschin: rubschin: rubschin:

I wonder if they do exemptions for uphill gardeners  rubschin: redface:

Nod is in sombre mood. They are not keen on operating now. Op is VERY high risk and if he survives he will take a year to recover and then have only 4 year life expectancy. Without the op he has 2-3 years.

I think he has resolved not to have the op(assuming they give him the option anyway) noooo:

Sad to hear, but I would choose not to have the op.

I agree and so does he. Hew now seems quite philosophical about it and is planning his funeral!!

Looks like that quantity of life v quality of life trade off decision that unfortunately too many have to make and right now it's Nod that's there and he has my every sympathy.  Luckily he's got a good friend in you.
Well, whatever, nevermind

I recall the 2 bed AirBNB in Spain where the host showed us ONE bedroom  eeek:

I managed, in SPanish,to convey, "Where is the other bedroom?! Even If I were gay I wouldn't fancy him!"

But he is a good old mate. He has asked me to speak at his funeral  eveilgrin:

Out for "lunch" with Nod and a guy I knew wandered past and then came over to say hello.

I asked after his wife.  "She died in January, bowel cancer, it was a terrible death and she suffered greatly." Nod went white while I tried to make sympathetic sounding distractions  noooo:

Nod left shortly afterwards

Bafflingly, the hospital has arranged:

1. For Nod to go for physiotherapy at the local gym (bring shorts!  sick2:)
2. A Macmillan nurse

Seems odd to me rubschin:
