There has been a persistent comms breakdown between the two different local hospitals who deal with different bits of stuff.

It is the way of the NHS.  They assume every patient is able to work as their project manager.  An utter disgrace but I bet the accountants think it's a wonderful system

Well today's scans will inform a life expectancy prognosis.

Nod is keen to get to Cadiz with me in October but is so unsteady on his feet that I am wary of taking him with me. His quackter suggested joining a gym

SO today I took him to join the local gym eeek:

His quackter has also suggested "Nordic Walking Poles "

Nod gets a call rom the hospital. "Your consultant has looked at the results o all you ecent tests and scans and wants to call you this atenoon."

Nod asks what time.

"Not sure as he is on holiday in France and said he needs to call you asap"

That's awful news Nick especially for Nod and you.  We've all laughed and sometimes despaired at Nod's follies but he's your friend and there's clearly much more to him than just his daft days.  Hopefully the prediction is unduly pessimistic and he has many days of good and pain free health.
