If memory serves holding down block and then hitting parry just before someone hits you when you are fighting in AC2 makes taking out the low/mid level fighters a lot easier. Failing that once you get the smoke bomb use that and then hidden blade the everyone attacking you while they are blind (Ezio is an assassin so forget Queensbury rules )
