And still nobody will say that the Omicron variant is deadlier (or even as dangerous) than any current variant doing the rounds.

It's all about "protecting" the NHS.

Protecting the NHS has been the key issue since March last year. 
 
But this time it's as much protecting Boris from a back bench revolt and a possible by election defeat.  Seems Carrie's sprog failed as a diversionary tactic

TBH when flicking through the TV channels and saw Boris was making a statement I did think he was resigning.
