So medical staff in white coats are doomed, It triggers fear of authoritarian behaviour apparently.   I always figured it was to show up being dirty.  I wonder if it is an attempt to get away from the responsibility angle, that is being mugged in the corridors for answers.

I haven't got used to multicoloured 'rainbow' cricket yet,  I don't know if I can cope.

My GP reckons that "White Coat Syndrome" puts people's blood pressure up several points.
He never takes your BP until just as you are leaving his consulting room and then he says "Oh, While you're here I suppose we ought to check you BP" just give it chance to settle after you have unburdened your ailments, been given the sick note/prescription and think that you have got over that trauma.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

I have to say that the only effect doctors have on me is to stimulate the feeling of 'Let's get outta here before I get MRSA or worse...

Hospitals are getting to be dangerous places.  My theory is they did it on purpose to depress the demand a bit.

If you are worried about it you won't go, and if you aren't - you won't go again.

To be honest the white coat has been an anachronism and an infection risk for years now. As more doctors have qualified from regular backgrounds as opposed to the 'my name's Tarquin, daddy was a doctor, grandad was a doctor yadda yadda yadda' the white coat is no longer the badge of honour/armour against the plebs that is once was.
The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest.
