'Bout the same time for me, perhaps a bit more... It was when the trams were not running... 

It was a weird trip for us, just over 2 weeks after 911 and the hotels were nearly empty.  Even then SF wasn't as good as when we'd seen it in the late 80s.but we did drive down to Carmel which we thought would be awful and it wasn't, it was brilliant.  And Muir Woods just north of SF was great too.
