Why when you see a pedestrian and a large puddle of water must you swerve and speed up.  cussing:

My trousers are still soggy.  sad24:

Could be the fear reaction of being told you are in the vicinity Nick, imminent cataclysNick events have had that effect on people in the past according to psychiatric research.

Did you get the number plate of the car/van ?  If you did, give it to the police and they can pursue an assault claim. And no, I'm not joking.

I've tried it before and they basically don't bother. Which yes I know they shouldn't but they do.

thats because of targets I'm afraid Wenchy. In order to hit targets the police will tend to go for the crimes that they know they can resolve and unless you have been filmed at the time being splashed by some arse in a passing car doesnt fit that category  happy100

Oh I know. It was pretty much just to make me feel better.  redface: I had a bad week last year where I got caught every day twice day. I also complained to the local council about the fact that the grates were all blocked. Bugger all happened there either.

Take their numbers, technically it is assault.

You are able to claim due damages.

There have been many successful actions recently.
(If you can drag plod away from their Gameboys of course, to look up the number) or applying directly to DVLA for reasonable access to the keepers name and address - £2.50 last time I looked.

Reading earlier posts.........  Don't ask plod - DEMAND!  And don't give them any peace until they do something.  A bit of aggravation should get you up to Chief Superintendent at least.
