Mr Wench hates fish. When he is away that is what I eat. Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon tonight. Trout tomorrow and tuna on Sunday!

I once got some trout from a trout farm and absent mindedly chucked them in the freezer. Mrs Nick cooked two of them one night. I asked her what she had stuffed them with. "Nothing." I then realised that she had not gutted them

That really is quite disgusting. I don't do inards. I have to ask the fishmonger to gut them for me. The one time I tried to do it myself I was physically  in the sink over them.

I fish ~ often for trout. Mrs S makes me gut them and insists on my removing the heads as well before they go in the freezer. Personally I'm not that fond of trout so don't often eat them.
Planning on making a smoker this winter ready for next season's catch. Now smoked trout I do like.
