Well, what a surprise, he has decide not to leave for a while, after all.  ::)

Brown rules out autumn election

Gordon Brown has said he will not call a general election this autumn.

The PM said he wanted a chance to show the country his "vision for change" and to develop his policies.

In the interests of balance I'd like to show him my "vision for change" too  evil:  Fat chance!

In a slightly nightmarish slumber this morning - I'd turned the radio on whilst half asleep - I heard someone referring to Great Britain - GB, and then Gordon Brown - GB... and the two images became intertwined in some ghastly black & white horror movie dream sequence... Stalinesque... pogroms... distraught souls... swirling mists...  scared2:

IMHO I don't think he ever planned to have an autumn election, I reckon he was trying to bluff the Tories and Lib Dems into blowing a bit of campaign money early and making fools of themselves. Looks like it has backfired though...

Mrs CA was there for a year in the early 90's and while the weather, architecture, tapas bars are all nice you do get bag-snatching gyppos on scooters, dogs that bark at each other from balconies at all hours, no such thing as mains gas and the telly is shite. I enjoyed going there on holiday, but wouldn't have liked to live there permanently.

I suspect I really don't want to know the answer, but what is you new avatar about?

It looks like a bloke with no arms and legs with the body of a large potato, but is expect it is actually something quite a lot worse.
