Am I becoming Mrs. Nick?
« on: October 09, 2007, 11:59:33 AM »
Something happens when Barman is away  eeek:

Previously we had the episode's of the cat bringing in a snake (which I caught, placed for the next 18 hours in a bin bag, in a tupperware box, with the iron on top, and which STILL was alive when I came to take it to the vet's for indentification) followed almost immediately thereafter by the bugger bringing in a lizard (which when I went to catch it shed its tail, so I had two things to fling out of the window).

YESTERDAY the cat bought in TWO locusts and for those of you who haven't seen these crickets on steriods before believe me they a big sods! Spent over hald and hour fling my shoes at them as they leapt around the living room before finally scoring a direct hit and then stomping on them, getting the kitchen roll and pair of tongs and disposing of them (put them in bins bags for the dustman to take away)....

THIS MORNING I go to come out of our front gate and the moat that BM, no sorry not him the electricity perople really, dug is still there BUT they have taken away the little rusty plank they threw across the ravine so we could get out............Okay thinks I, it's not far, I'll do a gentle long step over, but OH NO, didn't see they had ALSO damped down the soil surrounding the moat and the gentle long step over turned into a panicked long slide and splits and ended up bottom down in the mud  cussing:

Plus the blasted phone today hasn't stopped ringing, I'm still at least 10 days behind on paperwork, and I haven't even got BM here to shout at  cry:

Hiya Tinks  smile:

Actually when you called I was in the shower BEFORE I did the slippy slidy dance (because of Nickorays  cussing:)
and since then, one thing or another, have been running ever since - and must get off this forum soon otherwise I won't get ANY work done..........

Thank you for your offer to feed me tonight but can I please take a rain check (or should I say sunshine check over here  lol:) as I already have a prior booking  ;D

In fact since BM has been away my social life has improved ten fold  eyes: and of the remaining 6 evenings before he returns I currently only have this Friday 12th free  eyes: eyes:

Shall we get together then perhaps? Provided I can get 'over' the moat  cry:

Actually mentioned the other day to Tinks that I thought you were over here (right next door in fact) because the chap staying there parked his car without putting on the handbrake and it rolled down the road narrowly missing rolling its front end right into the moat .......... Now WHY did that make me think of you   ::) eeek: ::) eeek: ::)
