How many vets does it take to change a light bulb?
« on: October 10, 2007, 10:46:35 AM »
We rent a house to some vets. They called and siad that one of their lights had stopped working and could I do something about it?

I have just been round. I examined the light and it certainly wasn't working. I removed the bulb and shook it. It tinkled a bit. Broken.

I replaced the bulb. The light worked.

Vet#1 said, "Is that all it was?" cussing:

These guys have 15 A levels and 24 years of University education between them! cussing: Banghead

My late Father in Law had all the qualifications you could wish for and was a Research Chemist. He specialised in insulation materials for many years and in fact help design the insulation for many power stations around the world and the heat shield on the space shuttle.
Couldn't cross the road without a copy of the Which Guide to traffic in his hand  ::)

High on intelligence but low on common sense ... the most unworldly person I have ever met. ..... Nice man tho'.

But could he change a light bulb?

Not without guidance  ::)

Usually he would consult Which to see the best way to do it and the best buy to make first.

Hmmmmmm. . . . . this is frequently what the LandLady says about me!!  So much brains but so little common sense.   Personally, I blame it on being blonde (apparently peroxide can kill your brain cells) but perhaps I inherited it from LL. . . along with the good looks, nautrally!

I was expecting the answer to be along the lines of...

"1 to change the bulb and one to shove his arm up a cow's arse to the shoulder"

Cows don't have shoulders, they have haunches.
