If you do make the honeycomb it needs constant attention and stirring. It only takes ten minutes max. Make sure you have everything to hand before you start or it'll go wrong. Careful with the bicarb, it foams up so you'll need a fairly deep pan. Have your baking tray lined with greaseproof paper right next to the cooker so you can, with one deft move, take the pan from the heat and pour the boiling liquid. Leave it to set for a while then 'fridge it for half an hour to make it easier to break into suitable sized pieces.
