My state of the art Minolta digital packed up on day one so you'll have to wait for Boots to do their stuff with the 35mm films from the Pentax before I can share any pics.
Pity 'cos the Digi has some shots taken at a donkey sanctuary specially for Nick. Hundreds of Mokes but not a Mr Norks among them. They all have fairly mundane names I'm afraid ~ though they do have an adoption scheme ~ I was tempted but you don't get to take them home and you can't rename them apparently.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

Do you have the memory card out of the Minolta?

Oh! So I go out and buy one of those do I?
My PC is on the blink, the Minolta has packed up and the copier/scanner/printer (industrial size for magazine publication) is not working and now you want me to buy a card reader as well.  evil:
Some of us live on a pension and pitiful earnings for the occasional published article plus any expenses I can get for various "voluntary" tasks I perform, all I get here is a Bonio if Wenchy is in a good mood and you think I have money to throw around on card readers?
No! I shall take the sensible route:
(i) When my mate, who live opposite, returns from his weekend excursion, borrow his identical camera and download the memory card from mine via his.
Then on Monday
(ii) Read warranty and see if the camera is covered
(iii) If it is send it to Minolta to fix it.
(iv) If it is not, telephone Minolta, Jessops et al and obtain quotes for fixing it.
(v) If too expensive to repair advertise it for sale as is on ebay
Also on Monday
Phone Copier engineer and bite the bullet of a £95 + VAT call out fee to sort the machine out (can charge that off to the magazine)
Contact "Morgans Electrical" via internet and purchase new tower ~ if they have anything (a) worth buying and (b) without Vista installed.

Back-up position is to trade v. old mobile for an upgrade that includes digital camera at Carphone Warehouse, to struggle on with pc and to use local Post Office Copier at 5pence a copy until I can get something better sorted out.

If a new tower is purchased that will be a requirement.

 rubschin:

Mitsubishi Troodos eh?

Is that a local model name? Perhaps 'Shogun' is Cypriot for 'Rectum' or something like that?
