I'm not sure repeating lines is the same as acting. I suspect there is more of "Them" in the characters that is healthy.

No I meant, and I grant it was poorly put, that the line between the "actor" and the "character" in many of these soaps seems to me to be very thin ~ in fact non-existent at times.
