At work it seems some of us are able to access facebook and others cannot.

Naturally I can't - so I do not spend a lot of time on mine at all. Which is probably a good thing.

As for people you forgotten all about (and for good reason) don't you just love it when you can decline their invitation to become friends. If only you could post the reasons why for all to know - now that would be entertaining.

Strangely I struggle to remember the names of anyone I was at school with.
It is not just a function of old age either. I forgot them the day I left and moved on. Did the same when I left the RAF. All friends and colleagues were left behind.
I'll never go on Facebook or any similar site as it would be too embarrassing to have people saying "Hi ~ remember me? We were at school together" and have to reply "No ~ sorry I don't know you from a hole in the ground".
The only people from my past whose names I can recall are those I have had sex with ~ well those whose names I ever knew that is.
