Did you know that if you google images of Valves you get hundreds of pictures of Taps? Fvcking Yanks can't even speak the language  evil:

You are probably correct DS ~ I finally found what I wanted by adding the word Radio to Valve and re-googling.

I got dragged to some 'do' at the Officers Club at Greenham Common when the Yanks were still there and endured some chap droning on about the 'great sound of a tube radio'.

Naturally I worked out what he was on about but confused him by extolling the 'tone of a valved wireless' we had in the kitchen, as if it were a new subject.

He had that same vacant facial expression worn by Bush all the time.  whistle:
