Well it seems to have gone very quiet here for some reason, so I suppose I should be toddling off now.  Mrs Bore always has my lunch ready at 12. 30 on the dot (as she always jokes - her name is Dorothy, you see).

I will try to pop in later for another chat.

Well, I was having such unaccustomed fun here that I rushed back after my lunch.  Mrs Bore was quite startled to see me so animated.  But she is now busy with her crochet project and will be having a nap from 1. 00 until 2. 20, so she won't mind my being here.

Does anyone want a natter?

I am afraid Mrs Bore doesn't like flying, and won't permit me to fly either, so my knowledge of aviation is sorely limited.  My newphew does maths problems as a hobby.  Do you want me to ask him?

Perish the thought that I should do either.

Have you spotted the Mornington Crescent thread yet?

I do have a similar one in my collection, however the nose hole in this one appears to be missing.  I suspect it may be a second, which gives it some rarity value.  It could well be worth as much as ?6. 50 on e-Bay, assuming the right buyer discovers it.  Might well be worth checking the temperature there and putting the proceeds in your piggy bank for a rainy day.
You don?t have any with zips in do you?  scared2:
I think he would make an an excellent guest speaker on one of our fun nights.

Thank you very much. I enjoy giving speeches on interesting subjects, and even have my own microphone. I normally devote no more than an hour to my chosen topic and can also show slides.

Some of my more successful forays include:

The History of the Balaclava Helmet (illustrated)
My family tree (1436-2007)
An amusing tale of the wool trade
Goat breeding in Spain (1730-1775)
Tugboats of the Solent (with sound effects)

I do not require any payment. Sharing my knowledge is reward enough. I forgot to mention that I also have in my repertoire a rather amusing lecture on the subject of "Goings on in the Choir stalls", but it isn't rude.

Hello Bore.

How interesting!  noooo:

I myself am embarking on a small, but worthwhile, collection of little tanks. Nick is still chasing his acorn.  He will undoubtedly begin an amusing collection if he ever manages to catch it.  tunble:
