I wouldn't say I dislike Christmas but I hate the pandemonium people create around it, I loath the big build up (which means an even bigger disappointment), I detest the fact that I am expected to put on a lot of false bonhomie toward people I cannot stand, I strongly object to the rampant commercialism, I cannot tolerate mince pies (food of the devil) and I vomit at the thought of roast parsnips. I could say something about the TV Christmas Schedules but frankly they are beneath contempt. I feel an overwhelming need to be extremely rude to any carol singers and I have already objected to the local council about the application from the local Round Table to drive around the village blasting Christmas Pop Songs out of loudspeakers strapped to a Landrover pulling a "Sleigh" with some silly b@st@rd pretending to be Santa Claus.

Apart from that Christmas is OK I 'spose.  tunble:

Personally I like the warm and happy feeling it gives me inside. Christmas reminds me of a time when my life was simpler and I felt safe. It isn't about the presents, or the food, or the tv for me. It's about family and the people I love and care about.  cloud9:

That is probably my problem .... those I care about seem to get fewer with each passing year.
