Itsy bitsy spider?
« on: April 26, 2007, 01:28:42 PM »
This is worthy of Nick!

Had to have ?a man? around today to fix the TV.

We are on the fringe of the Sky satellite (a geostationary satellite I?ll have you know) footprint so you need a huge dish (between 2.7m and 4.2m depending on which end of the island you are on) to get a signal at all?

Anyway, all had been working fine ?til recently when we lost a load of channels. The weather has been fairly poor until the last week or so and I?d assumed that it was ?atmospheric conditions? or perhaps even the wind had moved the dish.

When the weather changed it was clear that it wasn?t ?atmospherics? so I got the engineer in today to re-align the dish only to find that a huge spider  spider: had chosen to make its home inside of the LNB.  :-[

Did you kill it, chase it away, cook it, or back off gently?

It's not knowing which way the little buggers are going to run next that gets me.

When RJH was living with BF and I for a bit I came home from work one evening to find him huddled on the sofa staring at the wall. HUGE spider! We put a glass on it and hate to wait for BF to come home and sort it out. We were both to afraid to move.  :'(
