Maybe they who want her to judge - know far more than us mere mortals about what is good literature.

For Snoopy that would obviously be the back of the Bonio box.
For Barman the til receipts.
For Grumpmeister - Bill Gates autobiography
For Nick - anything to do with anger management
For Wenchy - anything to do with tat management and crafts
For DS - the history of razor blades - they are the only thing sharper than him
For Tel - Careers and Opportunities magazine
For Grumpyoldsolider  - anything in big writing with lots of pictures
For Moan Ranger - anything greasy

Explain. Pronto.

I, on the other hand, am dubious as to the authenticity of that statement, given the company you admit to keeping!

Now that's what I call splitting an infinitive!
"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

Well, someone had to say it!

I am older and wiser (which roughly translates, that I can't neck it down like what they does).

Off for a Youngs now.

I see no split infinitive. You are using "keeping" in some continuous sense.

Is this not an infinitive what's been splitted?:

Quote from: Marley's Ghost
I, on the other hand, am dubious as to the authenticity of that statement, given the company you admit to keeping!

In that sentence, I have inserted stuff between I and am, thus splitting the infinitive (as in to boldly go) - or am I being thicker than usual?

Yes you are, I am is not an infinitive. The am bit is derived from the infinitive "to be". OK?
