I had every intention to be sensible - honestly - but the drinks began around lunchtime  didn't stop until I got home last night by 1 a.m.

So how did you find your way home?

I was responsible (for the first time that day) and took a cab - but got really peeved when the taxi driver kept waking me up to ask for directions  

When I woke up this morning I had to collect all the items that I had discarded round the house when I got in.

Heels were the first thing that came off and were scattered by the front door. Coat was in the front room. Earrings for some reason by the microwave?????  Everything else in the bathroom - or so I thought. For some reason I had left my party hat (a pointy tiara thing) on the stairs and when I was creeping down them this morning (obviously without the lights on as that would have hurt more ) I naturally trod on the friggin thing. It would probably be easier to exclude the expletives that I didn't use.  In the imoortal words of E.T .....OOOOOuuuch !
