Here you go, perfect pressie for Mr Wench.

http://www.bigfunuk.com/scalextric.htm

That's actually smaller than our track at home.  redface:

Where do you find the room, what with the tat mountain and enchanted forest etc.

Family villa sweetie. It's runs in and out of the rooms of one of the guest apartments.  redface:

My Dad bought it off a guy who had spent years building it up, he had it running through every room in his house. He was getting married and his intended refused to walk up the aisle unless he got rid of it. My Dad used to see it almost broke his heart taking it away from the bloke.

I know which I would have kept.
I mostly despair

So "home" is not where you live, but somewhere you retreat to?
My parents still live in the same house where I grewup, but I don't regard it as "home". "Home" is where I live now.

Too true.
Would feel the same way about all my fishing tackle.

They are both home. It's weird. Can't really explain. My Mum still calls Granny's home and she hasn't lived there for thirty odd years!

Well that proves that he had the right thoughts.

In all honesty I would feel the same about parting with my tackle.
I used to have a handle on life but it broke.

You seem to be adrift by a generation or so.

The rest of your tackle you mean.

No use still pretending that trip to the vet was just for a tummy-tuck.

Is Mr Wench aware of your sadistic streak?

Although I suppose if he submits to going to Ikea he must be a bit of a masochist.

Sadly true ~ funny thing is I never noticed just when she cut them off but by God she did.
