Doctors call for alcohol price hike

It is generally accepted that, as a group, doctors are the biggest "offenders" when it comes to the personal misuse of drugs and over use of alcohol. Given their latest pay increases taking a GP to £110,000pa Basic salary they clearly believe that this measure will curb OUR habits whilst not making a difference to THEIR consumption levels. Someone needs to remind them that, if people wish to drink, they will do so no matter how much it costs.

I wonder if that nice Mr. Brown has a hand in this?  rubschin:

Bottle of whisky in the supermarkets here this week = £4.50  whistle:

Don't start me on fuel prices  evil:

I don’t see the situation improving until the discussion is changed from ‘fuel prices’ to ‘fuel duty’…

At the moment the general populace still think those nasty Arabs are charging too much for their oil (which we helped them dig up) and pushing up the price of petrol…

Mine, along with his wife, has been barred from at least one local pub following a drunken "incident". And he tells me to avoid drink  ::)

I am keeping a low profile in front of my PC. Too much happening in the house for my liking.

Well, have you tried it and has it worked yet?
