I notice that a certain Chris Downing from Yorkshire (no relation to the famous street, I assume) comments that "it's time to ban the disgusting habit from all public places"

I can only agree with him and applaud his common sense.  I think that a ban on politicians appearing in public is long overdue.

Best news I've heard for ages.

All this law has achieved is to move smokers from certain establishment which non-smokers could easily avoid into public places. I notice the Italians, French and Spanish have all introduced ammendments to the law to allow designated smoking areas in pubs.

But she has since become a fitness fanatic, keeping in shape with the Commons female tapdancing troupe, the Division Belles.

She has been the public face of Labour's smoking ban, arguing that the move would "encourage more people to give up smoking" and even "create a different culture".

When the ban came into force in England and Wales in July - following similar measures in Scotland and Northern Ireland - the Parliamentary Estate, thanks to its historic privileges, was exempt.

She is a twit!
