In general it is a bad thing! However if one wishes to take one's teddy on one's final journey then that is acceptable!

I called the local crem and asked if there were restrictions about what could and could not be put in the casket. They asked specifically what I had concerns over and I answered that it was a teddy bear. They said that was fine.

So you didn't ask about you being in there then? And anyway, why assume all crems have the same rules. You could be  ummmm in Wales, for example, where they would never ever allow that

Then I will change my will accordingly once I have spoken to the local crem there. However, if I died in Wales at the moment then I would be transported back here for the burning.
