An agreement with WD lady and LL Mummy has been reached
following almost 30 minutes calm, reasoned and, on my part, very firm discussion
Said WD lady agreed the whole situation (from what could have been minor issue to full scale fall out status)
could have been avoided if she had acted more responsively and professionally - for future reference of
any future brides the outlet is Four Seasons Brides in Old Basinstoke, be warned not to go there
The two separate agreements reached were:
The 4 bridesmaids dresses and extra material for wraps will be collected by me Tuesday 22 Jan and balance of payment due for these will be made by me
The WD which is now NOT 'the dress' that will be worn by our beautiful daughter is considered cancelled by us from hereon in. What WD lady does with it from here on we frankly don't give a monkeys. There was an initial suggestion by WD lady that it would be fair to split the cost of the balance payment outstanding which was rebuffed by me quickly and succinctly by stating that as we weren't now going to seek legal redress (oh jolly japes still capable of a pun even in these circumstances) for the £'s we have already lost relating to the deposit paid (back in May 07) and that as she would still have an opportunity to resell it on again and make even profit
that suggestion would not be acceptable
There were obviously lots more grovely words from WD lady as to how this has never happened before but as my good friend Rhett would say 'Frankly my dear I don't give a damn'
So onwards and upwards - would love to say as this is an extra visit to old blighty I will try and get to see some of you chappies but I think the 8 day excursion is going to be a tad hectic one way or another as we search for the NEW 'the dress'
Obviously you will have also all worked out by now that this catastrophe has a rolling on impact and won't be surprised to see bar prices rising from today onwards
Love to you all
