Yesterday morning, blood test sample taken.

Sitting down, nurse places pillow on my lap, I place right arm on pillow.
Nurse puts strap on my arm, taps for vein and tells me to clench fist.
Nurse inserts needle into my arm, tells me to unclench fist.
Nurse leans forward, my hand is open.

They were real!

Quite, although last week I had an ECG. wires to go on chest and legs.

Nurse drops cable rell thing on my crotch then pressed down the reel whilst pulling out the extending cables. Not good just before an ECG!

PS - she was a very tall, pretty blonde S African.  Oh the joys of the NHS.
