Tactically I wonder if you get 3 letters (especially if it's in round 1) is it best then to try and just fill in those letters with the chance to get it next try or best to go for a word that has none of them to isolate more options for the try after that?
 
I do the latter so likely will never ever get it in 2

I do the same as Steve and Uncle but I couldn't see any obvious progression the other day, so I went for a random word excluding any "dead" letters on my third attempt and struck lucky with a couple of new letters
