I slept in the kids room for 3 nights ... took a long time before I was comfortable sleeping in there again... noooo: noooo: noooo:

The ones near me were as big as rats.....fruitbats I presume.

Prolly were fruit bats Baldy.  Awesome in flight but appalling smell when you're near them.  We don't get them in the UK outside of zoos.

I quite like the littler species of bats.  We once over 140 of them in our roof but unless you knew when to look (just after sunset or just before dawn) you'd never have known.  We only found out when a baby one ended up in our kitchen.  Now we've just got the one long eared male that's there most of the year.
