Think it was more to do with the telescope thing than my photographic abilities to be honest   ..but was an amazing night ..lying on blankets in the desert in the pitch black and looking up at the stars and moon

A truely dark night ablaze with stars is an amazing sight. Something you just don't get in the UK any more.

Youtube is the flyby of the EPOXI spacecraft of the nucleus of comet Hartley 2 a few days back and the picture is the Saturnian moon Mimas with the large (80 miles across) crater Herschel very prominent.
