About 100 yards from here (workplace) there was a murder last night. Started as a domestic and turned nasty. Police have cordoned area off and closed the road.

Unfortunately the people around here are used to them filming "The Bill" and have not taken kindly to having their progress blocked by "actors". One or two punches have been thrown.

Doesn't help that plod has brought its own refreshment van along, there were over 50 police here at one point.

Would that explain the bad traffic this morning?

Shocking. Another dead pikey should be no reason for me to take an extra 20 minutes to get to work...  cussing:

In my experience the only way to keep rozzers on the job is to provide tea and cakes. If you don't the b@st@rds just drift off. The other side of the coin is never offer a copper a cuppa if he comes to your house or he'll find an excuse to come again the next day, with a mate.
Basically they are like stray cats. Feed them once and they never go away.
