Whipcash
« on: January 31, 2008, 01:32:43 PM »
The police just called. I had a very very minor accident about 2 weeks ago where I rolled into the car in front at a junction. No damage. Insurasnce details exchanged.

The police now tell me that she is claiming "whiplash"injury. The officer on the phone, who was very sympathetic, said "We call it whipcash. She has been talking to someone and has taken 2 weeks to report it. No further action will be taken."

I'm surprised by that, given the targets they have I'd have figures this was a cut and dried case of wasting police time. Bang! One more for the count.

The medical report (Dr Gupta) was full of concerns about her frail condition, but as he claimed £900 for the consultation he would say that, wouldn't he?

What really pisses me off about this is that some numpty piled into my car about a month earlier and did £3000 worth of damage.HIs insurance company called and asked if I would be claiming for injuries.I said no. I was daft. I could have made a fortune!
