Prince returns from Afghanistan
« on: March 01, 2008, 04:09:42 PM »
Quote from: BBC Web Shite
Prince Harry has returned to the UK after being withdrawn 10 weeks into a front-line deployment in Afghanistan.

The prince landed at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, where he was met by Prince Charles and Prince William, and left the base after more than an hour.

The Prince of Wales spoke of his "great relief" at his 23-year-old son's safe return from Afghanistan.

Prince Harry's tour was cut short after a news blackout broke, leading to fears he would be targeted by the Taleban.

What en embarrassing farce?

Everybody seems to think he is a hero and that this is good PR for the Royal Family.

What about the British army and government? Shame on them I say and embarrassment in front of the world.

The great British army now can’t protect one of its troops in the front line against the Taliban? They can’t risk the life of a Royal even tho he has supposedly signed up like the other troops that risk their lives every day?

They should have left him there and used him to draw out the Taliban to where they can be destroyed by the amazing laser turbo megaweapons that we are supposed to possess.

I notice that he got to take his armoured vest home in the back of daddy’s car too – I thought they were still short of those?  Banghead

Indeed, but I did like the piccies of the strapped down Glock on the right leg and the chest rig ;D ;D ;D

Of course a picture of him coming out of a recently bombed building, smoke and the smell of HE still in the air, carrying a flaxen haired young girl in one arm and a puppy dog in the other would have been the icing on the Sun front page, but there again you can't have everything.
