Thinking about it I do remember most left handers at school developed a style of writing that involved curling their writing hand round the top of the paper and attacking things from that angle ~ sort of upside down. I suppose because fountain pens, in those days, would have dug into the paper had they pushed rather than pulled through the letter strokes. We had an English Master who particularly hated this style and frequently caned boys who used it.
